The Netskope Client team is a cross-functional group of talented engineers responsible for the development and end-to-end QE. As the QE Manager of this team you will work in an innovative, fast-paced environment with other experts to improve the overall quality, reliability, scalability and performance of Netskope Client. You will solve complex scale problems and deploy and manage the solution in production, including interactions with well known SaaS Applications via their APIs at cloud scale. What you will be doing
- Providing hands-on leadership to a team of 6-10 SDETs and ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our Quality Engineering efforts.
- Providing technical leadership and expertise to team members, other teams and / or customers, including code reviews for automation and product code.
- Understanding, designing, creating and executing functional and non-function test cases and automatable test plans.
- Applying best practices and methodologies to functional and non-functional scenarios.
- Conceiving of and contributing to process, tools, and infrastructure improvements
- Working cross functionally with development, program management, build and deployment teams to align effort estimations with production releases.
- Collaborating with developers on enhancements to existing functionality and new features.
- Reviewing product design and suggesting improvements from a testability and user perspective.
- Simulating negative scenarios and performing chaos testing.
- Supporting production release activities including pre-production and post production deployment activities.
- Handling customer escalations, performing root cause analysis and driving customer issues to closure.
Required skills and experience
- 12+ years of experience designing and developing automated tests and frameworks for enterprise grade software, including direct experience developing scalable, high-performance cloud services based upon microservices architecture.
- 4+ years of experience as a QE Manager / Team Lead.
- Expertise in programming languages like Python or Java (Python preferred).
- Expertise in RESTful Web Service automation and Day-1 automation readiness.
- Hands-on experience with public REST APIs/SDK of major SaaS vendors like Google, Microsoft or IaaS solutions like AWS, GCP etc
- Experience validating complex systems, including data pipelines, task queueing, async processing etc.
- Experience working on cloud based products and improving their reliability, resiliency, performance and scalability.
- Expertise in Linux and troubleshooting system/server side Linux-based systems.
- Experience with technologies like Redis, Kafka, Ceph and NoSQL databases.
- Identify and troubleshoot database-related performance bottlenecks, ensuring timely resolution to maintain system responsiveness.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and AWS/GCP.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins / Drone and observability tools like ELK, Grafana etc.
- Familiarity with source code systems like Github
- Understanding of Python Celery
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to communicate in an open, transparent and consistent manner with other teams and your co-workers.
Education
- BSCS or equivalent required, MSCS or equivalent strongly preferred
